Narrengesellschaft “Mondglunkerle” Widdenung e.V. is a carnival association in Weitenung, Germany, dedicated to bringing the local community together for Fasnacht, the festive carnival season. The organization is preparing its 2027 campaign, inviting residents and visitors to share in its celebrations and enjoy the distinctive Widdenung carnival spirit.

The association’s program includes Büttenabende, lively carnival evenings featuring humorous performances, and events on Schmutziger Donnerstag, a key day in the regional season. Its traditional carnival parade winds through the streets of Weitenung, showcasing costumed groups, traditional Häs outfits and creatively designed floats. Past parades have featured as many as 95 groups, attracting a large audience.

Mondglunkerle also supports the next generation of carnival participants through NGW-Kids and its own Garde, and welcomes young people interested in joining.
