The National Guard Association of Kansas (NGAKS) is an association supporting Kansas National Guard members and their families. Although it is the official association for officers, its advocacy serves the broader Guard community, including enlisted personnel, Army and Air members, active and traditional Guardsmen, retirees, and families. NGAKS represents members in Topeka and Washington, D.C., advocating for technician status reform, modernized equipment, and benefits comparable to those of active-duty service members. It also promotes professional development through networking and opportunities to build skills for the evolving tactical environment.
Membership is open to active or retired officers of the Kansas National Guard, with benefits available from the first day. The association offers a complimentary one-year membership to help new members get started. Its support includes access to the State Sponsored Life Insurance program, available to Kansas National Guard members and their dependents, as well as resources such as scholarships and will preparation.
