NGL Launcher is a community-built, unofficial launcher mod for Star Citizen, created to extend the standard launcher with features for players and community members. It adds a custom NGL theme and dynamic backgrounds, along with integrated Spectrum chat for connecting with friends, organizations, and the wider community. Users can also view a Message of the Day from the official #testing-chat in real time, check staff activity and status through the staff tracker, and update their account presence from the profile menu or Spectrum chat.

The project provides Windows downloads, including an installer, as well as news, patch notes, announcements, and installation guides. Its website also offers information about features such as translations, account erasure and copying, and uninstalling the launcher. NGL Launcher is described as a fan project made by the community for Star Citizen enthusiasts. The project says it has been reviewed and approved by Cloud Imperium Games and maintains ongoing communication with the company. Star Citizen and related marks remain the property of their respective rights holders.
