New Hope Global is a Birmingham-based registered charity established in 2014 by local community members led by Mohammed Foiz Uddin (MBE). It works with ethnic minority communities in Birmingham and surrounding areas, aiming to improve quality of life, strengthen community cohesion and address social, health and economic exclusion. Its vision is an empowered, inclusive and sustainable community, with particular attention to people facing disadvantage, poverty, isolation and ill health.
The charity provides tailored services across training, employment and education, health, and mental well-being. Its programmes include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), youth activities, employability and skills support, energy and benefits advice, and welfare and housing appointments. Health and well-being offerings include walking, gardening, exercise, diabetes and well-being sessions, and basic counselling. New Hope Global also supports community engagement through arts, heritage projects and cultural activities, including work showcasing stories and heritage connected to Nakshi Kantha and the Bangladesh Liberation War.
