Nia with Amanda

Nia with Amanda offers classes in Nia, a holistic movement practice that blends dance, martial, and healing arts. Led by Amanda, the practice is designed to engage body, mind, and spirit through movement and music, with an emphasis on listening to the body and moving in ways that feel right for each participant. Amanda shares Nia as a practice that has supported her own physical conditioning, calm, and sense of play, and welcomes others to explore its benefits.

Classes are approximately one hour and are offered indoors, outdoors, and via Zoom. Participants may dance barefoot if they wish, and newcomers are welcome to join at any point during a term. Comfortable clothing and water are recommended; a small towel is useful, while a yoga mat is optional. Regular practice may help develop strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and coordination, while also supporting relaxation, focus, confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Amanda aims to create a warm, inclusive environment where people can enjoy movement and connect with a supportive community.
