National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) is a consortium consisting of three prestigious biotechnology institutes - Malaysian Institute of Pharmaceuticals & Nutraceuticals (IPHARM), Agro-Biotechnology Institute Malaysia (ABI), and Malaysia Genome & Vaccine Institute (MGVI). Established in 2012, NIBM operates as an autonomous not-for-profit entity, with the aim to administer IPHARM, ABI, and MGVI effectively and efficiently. NIBM plays a crucial role in setting priorities and directions for research and development activities, planning the commercialization of R&D outputs, and enhancing the R&D ecosystem to position Malaysia as a global biotechnology hub.

With the objective of bringing science in biotechnology to the marketplace, NIBM nurtures biotech companies and creates a holistic ecosystem for the growth of the industry. The management of NIBM is centralized at the Headquarters Office located in Selangor, Malaysia. Offering a range of services including analytical services, consultancy, contract manufacturing, lab tests, and training, NIBM provides a comprehensive platform for pre-clinical R&D.

Additionally, NIBM offers intellectual property consulting services, hands-on biotechnology training, and a bioresources database. By fostering innovation and expertise, NIBM aims to contribute to the advancement of biotechnology in Malaysia and beyond
