About Nicehearts ry
Nicehearts ry, founded in 2001, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the empowerment of girls, women, and those who identify as such in society as equal and valued members. Their mission is to prevent social exclusion by enhancing participation opportunities and facilitating pathways for individuals to find their place in society. Through their activities, Nicehearts nurtures and educates girls and women to become agents of change.
The organization's core values of equality, inclusivity, community, and joy permeate their long-lasting efforts to create networks among women from different cultural backgrounds and ages. Nicehearts' impactful work started with youth work in Vantaa in 2001, expanding to Espoo, Helsinki, and Lappeenranta, encompassing families through community centers. They champion women's rights and have recently appointed their first gender equality ambassador, former Vantaa mayor Ritva Viljanen. Nicehearts is a beacon of change for a more inclusive and empowered society.
