The Japan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' Associations (JHTA) is an organization committed to upholding the duties and responsibilities of tax accountants while promoting improvements and advancements in their profession. In accordance with the Tax Accountants Act, JHTA performs administrative tasks related to the guidance, communication, and supervision of tax accountant associations and their members, as well as the registration of tax accountants. Comprised of 15 regional tax accountant associations across Japan, JHTA engages in various activities outlined in Article 3 of its bylaws.

These include providing recommendations and instructions to tax accountant associations and their members, conducting research on tax administration and related systems, promoting improvements in tax accountant practices, and undertaking public relations activities regarding the systems and duties of tax accountants. Additionally, JHTA carries out tasks such as issuing publications, facilitating tax accountant training, implementing measures for small-scale taxpayers, and promoting education and awareness about taxation. Therefore, the Japan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' Associations plays a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning of tax accountant associations and contributing to the progress of tax accounting in Japan
