Nieuw en Oud

Nieuw & Oud is a social-impact service operating in Rotterdam and the Rijnmond region, helping people with limited budgets create a comfortable place to live. Its work combines affordable home furnishing with careful, respectful property clearances, guided by a commitment to reuse and practical support.

The organisation offers second-hand furniture and tailored furniture packages designed to make a home immediately habitable. Packages include essential items such as a bed, table, chairs and cupboard, and can be adjusted to suit individual needs. This provides people setting up a new home with a more affordable way to furnish it.

Nieuw & Oud also manages property clearances, removing furniture and other contents and leaving the property swept clean. Wherever possible, usable items are given a second life. The service is intended to support people, including vulnerable residents, through difficult circumstances, and is offered at low cost.

Nieuw & Oud regularly works with the Fonds Bijzondere Noden Rotterdam (FBNR), which can provide a one-time grant in urgent financial situations.
