About NIHR
NIHR GSU LAGOS-HUB is a leading research center in Nigeria, working in collaboration with numerous hospitals, colleges, and medical centers across the country. Led by Professor Adesoji Ademuyiwa, a renowned expert in Pediatric Surgery and a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, the hub is dedicated to advancing medical research. Funded by the UK National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), NIHR GSU LAGOS-HUB is actively involved in various projects, including the FALCON TRIAL, CHEETAH TRIAL, COVIDSURG, PENGUIN TRIAL, and LION STUDY.
These initiatives aim to improve healthcare outcomes and enhance patient care. Additionally, the hub provides extensive training and education programs to medical professionals, promoting knowledge exchange and skill development. They also publish valuable research findings and organize webinars to disseminate knowledge on a national and international scale.
