CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) is a Government of India research laboratory operating under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Based in Thiruvananthapuram, it brings together scientists, students and technical teams to address scientific and societal challenges through interdisciplinary research and innovation. Its work spans advanced materials, photochemistry, chemical and biosciences, bioprocessing, agro and food processing, environmental technology, and the value addition of regional natural resources.

NIIST supports industry and research partners through consultancy, contract research and development, technology transfer, analytical testing, and technical services.
