NIJMEEGSE FUNRUNNERS

Nijmeegse Funrunners is a running and recreational walking club whose central aim is to make exercise enjoyable. The club welcomes people interested in developing their running, from beginners building up gradually to more experienced runners seeking varied routes and challenges. It also offers sportief wandelen, or fitness walking, for those who want to improve their condition in a friendly group.

Training takes place in and around Heumensoord and the university campus. Running sessions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while fitness walking sessions take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Sessions are led by enthusiastic, knowledgeable trainers, and prospective members can try a class before joining.

The club’s website provides information about training groups, schedules and locations, membership fees, activities, trainers and club facilities, including its clubhouse, “de Keet.” Visitors can also find club news, an events agenda and information about its organisation, clothing and sponsors.
