Nikulan Hevoskuntoutus Oy is an equine rehabilitation and training provider located at the Nikula racecourse in Kaustinen, Finland. The company helps horses recover from a range of leg and muscle injuries, offering water-treadmill walking as a central part of its services. This controlled exercise allows horses to remain active during recovery while building muscle strength and reducing strain on joints and supporting ligaments. Water-treadmill sessions can also complement a horse’s regular conditioning by engaging different muscle groups.

Rehabilitation programmes are tailored to each horse and developed in close cooperation with Nikulan Animal Clinic and veterinarian Jaana Tainio. The Nikula area offers facilities and routes to support recovery, including a racecourse, training straight, soft-sand track, forest trails and an indoor riding arena owned by the clinic. Alongside water-treadmill training, the company offers laser treatment, cryotherapy using a Cryonic cold-treatment system, and customised packages. Additional exercise or riding services may also be discussed. Customers can book a single treadmill session or choose five- or ten-session cards, which include complimentary sessions.
