Nina Imani Ltd is an Australian charity focused on expanding opportunity and financial independence for vulnerable women and young people in Tanzania. Founded in 2019, it works alongside grassroots Tanzanian organisations, providing funding, governance support and curriculum assistance for programmes designed and delivered locally. Its main partnership is with the Inuka Tusonge Foundation, a Tanzanian NGO that operates a vocational training centre for young women in the Arumeru District.
Since 2020, the centre has offered practical training in culinary and hospitality skills, hairdressing and beauty, tailoring, and computer literacy, alongside English, entrepreneurship, health and wellbeing, and legal rights. Nina Imani also provides education grants, including support for primary schooling and tertiary study. The organisation helps strengthen financial accountability, programme quality and planning, and tracks graduate outcomes. From 2020 to 2025, 106 of 121 enrolled students graduated; graduates have found employment or started small businesses. Nina Imani is volunteer-led, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient, making donations over A$2 tax deductible for Australian donors.
