Horia Hulubei National Institute for R&D in Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH) is a major public research and development organization in Romania. Based in Măgurele, the institute focuses on nuclear physics and nuclear engineering, alongside related fields including astrophysics, particle physics, field theory, mathematical and computational physics, atomic physics, condensed-matter physics, and life and environmental physics. Its research is supported by specialist departments and facilities, including the 9-MV Tandem, 3-MV and 1-MV Tandetron accelerators, the ELI-NP laser and gamma source, a radiopharmaceutical centre, irradiation facility, GRID computing resources, and a waste treatment plant and repository.

IFIN-HH also supports scientific collaboration through national and international projects, partnerships, research services, and user access to its facilities. Its broader activities include technological transfer, nuclear training, a physics library, and public outreach.
