About National Institute of Solar Energy
National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is the leading national research and development institution in the field of Solar Energy in India. Established in September, 2013, NISE is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. It was created by converting the Solar Energy Centre (SEC) into an independent institution to support the implementation of the National Solar Mission and collaborate on research, technology, and related works.
NISE offers a range of services and products to promote the growth and adoption of solar energy technologies. This includes testing services for solar photovoltaic modules, systems, and balance of systems (BOS), as well as skill development and consultancy services. Additionally, NISE conducts research and development activities and provides resources such as technical reports and guidelines.
The institute also facilitates the training of students through its internship program. With its dedication to advancing solar energy and its commitment to quality and innovation, NISE is at the forefront of India's renewable energy revolution
