NTNU, or the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, includes the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK). This department focuses on research and education in the fields of cybersecurity, information security, communication networks, and network services. They offer study programs at the doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degree levels in information security and communication technology.

IIK is also home to the Center for Cyber and Information Security (CCIS), the SFI Norwegian Centre for Cybersecurity in Critical Sectors (NORCICS), and Norway's national research school in data and information security (COINS).
