About Nitro Association
Nitro Language Processing is a brand that offers a unique and exciting opportunity for students in Romania to participate in the NLP Hackathon. This hackathon is a 23-hour competition where participants can showcase their skills and knowledge in language processing. The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join from their own homes, a friend's place, or the brand's headquarters at the University of Bucharest.
During the hackathon, participants will receive food, drinks, stickers, and live assistance to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The competition will start on Saturday at 10:00 and end on Sunday at the same time. Students from high schools and universities in Romania, regardless of their degree program, are eligible to participate.
If you don't have a team, don't worry! You can join as an individual, and the brand will match you with suitable teammates through a speed dating process. Participants will have the opportunity to submit up to 20 solutions per day on Kaggle, competing to achieve the highest score and win exciting prizes. In addition to the hackathon, Nitro Language Processing offers tutorials, conferences, and the opportunity to contribute to their GitHub repository.
This allows participants to have their experiments posted under an open-source license and recognized as contributors of the Human Language Technologies Research Center (HLTRC). The brand emphasizes that NLP is a rapidly developing field, and innovative ideas can come from anyone, regardless of their experience. Throughout the event, the brand's team will be available to answer any questions and provide support.
To be eligible for prizes, participants must present their solutions during the post-competition presentations. The best part? Everything, including the hackathon, tutorials, and conference, is completely free! While it's not necessary to be registered for the competition to attend other events organized by the brand, participation is highly encouraged.
