Norges Kaninavlsforbund

Norges Kaninavlsforbund (NKF) is a Norwegian organisation for people interested in rabbits, whether their passion is companionship, breeding, showing, jumping, meat production or wool production. Founded in 1897, the association brings together 18 local clubs and groups across the country, along with specialist clubs for breeds and activities. Members can connect with other rabbit enthusiasts and take part in exhibitions and rabbit-jumping competitions. At shows, rabbits are assessed by authorised judges, and members can register their animals and have pedigrees recorded.

NKF also supports rabbit keeping and breeding with educational resources, guidance, information on recognised breeds and advice for buying rabbits. Its services include pedigree certificates, exhibition programmes, entry materials and practical resources for organisers and exhibitors. Members receive Tidsskrift for Kaninavl, the association’s journal, published eight times a year with articles, profiles, reports and show news. The organisation also shares competition rules and results, maintains information about judges and awards, and publishes exhibition catalogues and meeting records.
