NKF Malaysia

NKF Malaysia | Petaling Jaya is a renowned brand dedicated to providing support and care for patients with kidney failure and kidney-related diseases. Since its registration in 1969, NKF has continuously raised the standards of care for its patients. It started as a dialysis treatment provider and has now evolved into a comprehensive national resource center for all kidney-related matters.

Fundraising is a crucial aspect of NKF's operations as it allows them to provide affordable dialysis treatments to patients from lower income groups. By subsidizing the cost of dialysis, NKF ensures that patients only pay a nominal fee per session, alleviating their financial burden. Every year, NKF needs to raise RM24.

9 million to support 1,605 patients across 29 dialysis centers nationwide. In addition to treatment, NKF also focuses on training dialysis assistants, enhancing the overall quality of care. They offer a specialized training course, the Haemodialysis Induction Course, which equips trainees with the necessary skills to provide assistance and support to kidney failure patients.

Lastly, NKF emphasizes public education to raise awareness about kidney health. Through educational initiatives, they aim to address the changing lifestyles and dietary habits that contribute to kidney diseases, helping individuals make informed choices for a healthier life.
