Nurse Compact

Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is an initiative designed to enhance nurse mobility and improve access to healthcare across the United States. By allowing nurses to obtain a multistate license, the NLC facilitates practice in all participating compact states while ensuring public safety through state-level protections. Currently, 42 jurisdictions participate in the compact, making it easier for nurses, including travel nurses and military families, to practice in various locations without the need for multiple licenses.
