The National Latinx Psychological Association (NLPA) is a national organization connecting mental health professionals, academics, researchers, and students across the United States. Its mission is to advance psychological knowledge and support its effective application for the benefit of Latinx communities. With roots dating to the 1970s, NLPA formally reorganized in 2002 and held its first national conference in 2004. Its members work in diverse settings, including communities, hospitals, clinics, rural areas, and universities.

NLPA provides opportunities for professional learning, collaboration, advocacy, and community building. Its offerings include an annual conference and pre-conference, continuing education, training opportunities, special interest groups, and a mentoring program. The association also supports students and early-career professionals through dedicated resources, committees, and awards. Members and visitors can access publications such as the Journal of Latinx Psychology and the Latinx Psychology Today Bulletin, along with teaching resources and advocacy initiatives. NLPA also maintains a job board for employers seeking Latinx professional candidates and individuals exploring career opportunities.
