NMGIS

Northern Maine GIS provides mapping, geospatial data management, and UAV drone services for clients in Northern Maine. Led by GIS Professional Spencer Caron, the business combines long-standing GIS experience with credentials in land surveying and FAA-licensed drone operations. Its work includes municipal tax maps and records, customized cartography, and the organization and maintenance of GIS data.

Services cover the conversion of hand-drawn maps into digital formats, with scanned originals reviewed for accuracy, and the georeferencing of data so it can be used alongside resources from the Maine Office of GIS and Google Earth. Northern Maine GIS also creates professional maps in paper and digital formats, including PDFs, GIS shapefiles, and Google Earth KMZ files. Map and document scanning is available for materials up to 40 inches wide, with a straight-through option for fragile historic items.

UAV services include building and roof inspections, real estate photos and videos, orthorectified imagery, construction progress documentation, stockpile volume calculations, topographic data, point clouds, and 3D modeling.
