About NMLRA
The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA), established in 1933, is dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich historical heritage associated with muzzleloading sports in the United States. The NMLRA engages enthusiasts through various recreational, educational, and cultural venues, including competition matches, gun-making, hunting, and historical re-enactments. Through its extensive array of events and programs, the NMLRA fosters a deep appreciation for historical firearms and encourages the next generation to partake in this cherished pastime.
The association operates a modern facility known as The Walter Cline Range in Friendship, Indiana, offering covered firing lines, trap and skeet ranges, and camping amenities. The NMLRA also emphasizes education with its updated Education Building, providing high-quality instruction in heritage arts and muzzleloading history. Members can participate in a variety of activities, from competitions to workshops, while enjoying the supportive community that the NMLRA nurtures.
