The No Catch Co | Vegan Fish and Chip Shop in Brighton. Award-winning tofish. We’re an ethical vegan company taking on the traditional model of a British fish and chip shop. As many as 2.3 trillion fish are pulled from the ocean and killed every single year for food. But as well as being a moral issue, the fishing industry is devastating for the environment as well.

The No Catch Co is an ethical vegan food company in Brighton reimagining the traditional British fish and chip shop. Founded in 2021, it offers a plant-based alternative to seafood, with the aim of serving satisfying food without animal products and encouraging change in the seafood industry. Its menu features award-winning tofish, a vegan substitute for battered fish, alongside alternatives inspired by haddock, prawns and calamari. Customers can also try dishes such as popcorn prawnz, with fish and chips forming part of a broader range of creative vegan options.
The company highlights concerns about the effects of fishing and seafood production on marine life and the environment, and presents its food as a way to enjoy familiar flavours without relying on fish. The No Catch Co serves customers at its eat-in and takeaway location at 127a King’s Road, on Brighton’s seafront. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; it is closed on Mondays.
