About Noceto
Vino Noceto Winery, located in beautiful Amador County, has been producing California's Best Sangiovese for over 25 years. With a focus on sustainable winemaking, they offer a diverse range of wines, including eight different Sangioveses, an Old Vine Zinfandel, a slightly sparkling Moscato called Frivolo, Barbera, and a Tuscan Red Blend, among others. The name 'Noceto' derives from the Italian term for walnut grove, as walnuts were once a staple crop on the farm where the winery now stands.
Founded in 1987 by Suzy and Jim Gullett, Vino Noceto is known for its contribution to the history of California Sangiovese. Their award-winning wines are crafted to perfectly complement various cuisines - from Thai to Italian to Barbecue. The winery is deeply involved in the local community, regularly donating wine and time to support the people and businesses that make their livelihood possible.
