Rezera is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing oral, brain-penetrant NLRP3 inhibitors for chronic inflammation associated with cardiovascular and neurologic diseases. Formerly known as NodThera, the company has spent more than a decade inventing and developing molecules designed to block inflammation at its source. Its approach targets NLRP3, an upstream driver of chronic inflammation, with the aim of reducing harmful inflammatory activity without impairing the body’s ability to fight infection.
Rezera’s pipeline includes ruvonoflast and trabzanoflast. The company is studying ruvonoflast in peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition it identifies as an important area of unmet need, and plans to begin a registrational Phase 3 trial in the first half of 2027. It has also reported Phase 2 results for ruvonoflast in combination with semaglutide, describing a favorable safety and tolerability profile. Trabzanoflast is being developed for neurologic applications; reported Phase 1 results indicated it was generally well tolerated and achieved high central nervous system exposure. Rezera also shares clinical research, publications, and information about its programs and trials.
