NÖ Jagdverband

The Lower Austrian Hunting Association (NÖ Jagdverband) represents and advises more than 35,000 hunters in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It supports the hunting community while promoting responsible, knowledgeable and consistent hunting and highlighting the role hunters play in nature and society. Its work spans wildlife and habitat management, conservation, hunting practice, and engagement with issues affecting wildlife and people, including road safety, agriculture, forestry and recreation.

The association provides practical services and information for members, including guidance on hunting law, seasons, permits, harvest planning and wildlife monitoring. Its education and training offer includes courses and examinations for aspiring hunters, gamekeepers and hunting educators, alongside seminars and continuing education. Further resources cover shooting, hunting dogs, hunting horn groups, game meat marketing and wildlife health. The organization also shares news, publications, reports, events and downloadable materials, and offers a mobile app and member services. Through its projects, committees and representation at national and EU levels, the NÖ Jagdverband contributes to discussion and coordination on hunting, wildlife and habitat management in Lower Austria.
