About NOFIA
NOFIA (Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance) is a brand committed to advancing agricultural research and innovation in Northern Ontario. Their mandate includes promoting research and development in agricultural products, facilitating the entire process from basic research to commercialization, and advocating for the interests of agriculture in the region. With a focus on generating economic development in the agricultural sector, NOFIA strives to facilitate farm innovation across Northern Ontario.
They accomplish this through the collaboration of a dedicated Board of Directors, which includes experts in cash crops, dairy, beef, and local food. NOFIA also has a team of staff members who play crucial roles in executing the brand's mission. This includes an Executive Director, Project Development Advisor, Communications & Events Coordinator, and a Project Assistant.
In addition, NOFIA has an Advisory Council comprising representatives from various regions in Northern Ontario, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to their work. With a strong dedication to research, innovation, and economic growth, NOFIA is actively shaping the future of agriculture in Northern Ontario
