Norsk kvalitetsforbedring av laboratorieundersøkelser (Noklus) er en ideell, landsdekkende organisasjon som ble stiftet i 1992. Noklus tilbyr tjenester til laboratorier ved legekontor, sykehjem, sykehuslaboratorier, oljeplattformer, hjemmetjenester m.fl. Hovedkontoret ligger i Bergen, og laboratorierådgivere (bioingeniører) og legespesialister er tilknyttet 23 ulike sykehus. Laboratorierådgiverne gir veiledning i blant annet prøvetaking, prøvebehandling og analysering til de 3600 deltakerne i Noklus. Noklus tilbyr program for ekstern kvalitetssikring for de fleste analyser som gjøres i primærhelsetjenesten. Andre aktiviteter i Noklus er instrumentutprøvinger, forskning, egenkontroll antikoagulasjonsbehandling samt kvalitetsforbedring av både rekvireringsrutiner og tolkning av analysesvar. Noklus har også ansvaret for den daglige driften av Norsk diabetesregister for voksne.
