The brand was born from the dream of two African girls, Tutuwa and Thato, who met in Paris and bonded over their shared heritage. Tutuwa's great-grandmother's black soap and shea butter became the inspiration for Nokware Skincare. After returning to their respective countries, Tutuwa and Thato brought their dream to life and Nokware Skincare was officially launched in October 2017.
