NOLA Wood Windows is a small New Orleans business dedicated to preserving historic homes through sustainable window and door restoration, repair, and traditional craftsmanship. Since 2018, the company has helped homeowners maintain the architectural character of their properties while reducing the environmental impact of replacement. Its services include restoring wood windows and doors, repairing original wavy or colored glass, and fabricating custom or replica window units and exterior doors when restoration is no longer practical.

The workshop uses traditional methods, including mortise-and-tenon joinery, and materials such as reclaimed cypress and African mahogany for custom doors. NOLA Wood Windows also offers weatherization and guidance for homeowners caring for their own windows. Its supply shop carries sash cord, locks, weatherstripping, glazing putty, and other maintenance products, including natural finishes and traditional glazing supplies.

The business provides classes and consultations and partners with contractors navigating local historic-preservation requirements. Through careful workmanship and education, NOLA Wood Windows helps extend the life of New Orleans’ historic woodwork
