About NONDO
Established in 2011, NONDO is a distinguished Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to advocating for the rights, inclusion, and active participation of individuals with disabilities, specifically from nomadic and pastoralist communities in Kenya. By focusing on these marginalized groups, NONDO strives to enable them to lead dignified lives and address the unique challenges they face in the arid and semi-arid lands of Kenya.
Operating in 12 counties, including Mandera, Turkana, and Samburu, NONDO implements various programs and interventions to promote socio-economic empowerment, education, health, and emergency response for persons with disabilities. Through initiatives like Desert Wheel Race and Actions For Change project, NONDO amplifies the voices of persons with disabilities, fights against corruption, and enhances their participation in democratic processes.
