Sign Now is a European Citizens' Initiative that aims to ensure that everyone deserves protection from COVID-19 without any profit motives. COVID-19 is spreading rapidly, and it is crucial that solutions travel faster. No one is truly safe until safe and effective treatments and vaccines are accessible to everyone.
By signing this initiative, you are urging the European Commission to make anti-pandemic vaccines and treatments a global public good that is freely accessible to all. The initiative has four key demands: 1. Health for all: Access to treatments and vaccines should not be determined by private companies, but should be shared globally and at an affordable price.
2. Transparency now!: Data on production costs, public contributions, and the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and medicines should be made public. 3.
Public money, public control: Health technologies developed using taxpayers' money should remain in the hands of the people and not be privatized by big pharmaceutical companies. 4. No profit on pandemic: Big pharmaceutical companies should not profit from the pandemic at the expense of people's health.
Public funds should always come with guarantees on availability and affordability. Help make a difference by signing the initiative and spreading the word to collect 1 million signatures. Together, we can ensure that everyone receives the protection they deserve from COVID-19.
