Nora Gelb Designs is a Rochester, New York–based art business founded by self-taught artist Nora Gelb. Established in 2011, the business began with hand-painted furniture, picture frames, and home décor, and has since grown to offer creative experiences and original artwork. Nora works across a range of subjects, using acrylic paint and mixed media.
Since 2015, Nora Gelb Designs has hosted mobile painting classes and summer art camps for children and adults. Public paint parties welcome participants to scheduled events, while private parties can be arranged at a customer’s home or another private venue. Nora guides guests through the painting process in a relaxed, fun environment. The business also accepts commissioned work and offers prints for purchase.
Nora participates in local festivals and supports community organizations, including Pluta Cancer Center Foundation, Moonshadow’s Spirit, and Camp DayDreams. She is a member of Central Creatives, a shared artist studio and gallery at Piano Works in East Rochester, and an artisan at the WE Shop in Lima, which features work by local women entrepreneurs.
