Norcal Crew is a nonprofit organization based in Redwood City, CA that is dedicated to the development of youth through the sport of rowing. With a mission to provide high-level training for student athletes across the San Francisco Peninsula, Norcal offers a comprehensive training program that focuses on personal development and athleticism. The organization strives to develop athletes into national champions and has a track record of success, including winning two national championships in 2022.

Norcal believes that all athletes, regardless of their financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to row. The organization is committed to making the sport accessible to any athlete who wants to train. Norcal practices in two locations, Bair Island Aquatic Center and Westpoint Harbor, both situated on the water in the Port of Redwood City.

The team travels and competes all over the country, with a primary focus on races in California. With top-of-the-line racing shells, including eights, fours, quads, doubles, pairs, and singles, Norcal offers a high-quality rowing experience for its athletes. Rowing is not only a physically demanding sport but also fosters a sense of team spirit, mental toughness, and personal growth.

Participants often find it to be a highlight in their lives and continue rowing well into their seventies at masters regattas. Founded in 2000, Norcal Crew has a rich history of growth and success. The program initially started as Silicon Valley Crew for high school students and later merged with a junior level rowing program at Bair Island Aquatic Center to form Norcal Crew.

Today, the organization has nearly 200 members and continues to provide exceptional training and opportunities for aspiring rowers
