Nordcards

NORD Institute is an Israeli center specializing in therapeutic and metaphorical cards, workshops, and professional training. Established in 1985, it presents itself as a longstanding resource for using cards in therapy, education, and other facilitation settings. The institute offers original card sets and activities developed by Dr.

Ofra Ayalon, a psychologist and family and trauma therapist who leads workshops in person and online. Its approach uses images and metaphors as prompts to help participants explore concerns, access less conscious thoughts, and express insights. NORD Institute provides courses and workshops on therapeutic card work, including sessions delivered over Zoom, and offers professional literature and articles related to therapy, training, and facilitation.

The site also features examples of the institute’s work, including an article about training teachers and mental health workers after the tsunami in Thailand. Through its cards, learning programs, and written resources, NORD Institute supports professionals and groups seeking practical ways to communicate, reflect, and work with a range of topics
