Nordic Hockey Academy is an international hockey and education program based in Ferlach, Austria, for players aged 15–20. Its 10-month boarding-school program brings hockey development, academic study and daily life together on campus, with the aim of supporting athletes as individuals as well as players. Students receive on-ice coaching and training in physical conditioning, technical and tactical skills, mental preparation and hockey theory. The program runs from August to June and includes accommodation, meals, schooling, training and league competition; the meal plan covers weekday breakfasts and dinners, as well as game-day meals. The academy describes its staff as international and its community as representing more than 30 nationalities.
