Nordisk poesifestival

Nordisk poesifestival | Rolf Jacobsen-dagene is a poetry festival held in Hamar, Norway, around the birthday of poet Rolf Jacobsen. Established in 2007, the festival brings together poets and audiences from across the Nordic region to celebrate contemporary poetry and explore its many forms. Its four-day programme features readings, author conversations, lectures, concerts, performances and social gatherings, creating opportunities to encounter poetry in both formal and informal settings.

Events have included a traditional poetry celebration, seminars in collaboration with the University of Innlandet, activities for children and young people, and programmes that connect poetry with music and public spaces. The festival also highlights the work of a featured festival poet; in 2027, that role will be held by Nobel Prize-winning writer Jon Fosse, with events devoted to his poetry and wider literary career. Alongside its annual festival, the organisation publishes a related book series, maintains an archive of past programmes and offers practical information and email updates for visitors
