The Norfolk SPCA Adoption Center & Veterinary Clinics, located in Norfolk, VA, is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the country, established in 1892. Originally focused on the mistreatment of working horses, the Norfolk SPCA now shelters, treats, rehabilitates, and rehomes household companion animals from all over Hampton Roads, providing them with the extra time and care needed to find their forever homes. In addition to their adoption center, the Norfolk SPCA offers two affordable veterinary clinics open to the public.

They advocate for animals, offer educational programs, and support partnerships with other shelters and animal control agencies. The Norfolk SPCA is a non-profit organization that relies solely on support from compassionate individuals, local businesses, and other organizations. Their mission is to reduce the need for sheltering companion animals in the community by providing affordable veterinary services, offering educational programs and counseling to help keep pets with their families, and supporting animal-friendly public policies.

With a strong network of foster parents providing temporary homes, they also provide sterilization services for feral cats as part of their trap-neuter-return initiative. By adopting from the Norfolk SPCA, you not only gain a new friend but also contribute to their life-saving efforts. Show your support by donating or volunteering, and help create a community where all healthy and treatable companion animals are saved
