Norges Førerhundforbund

Norges Førerhundforbund is a Norwegian interest organisation for guide dog users, bringing together people who use guide dogs and their supporters through local clubs across the country. Led and run by guide dog users, the organisation works to represent its members and promote the right of blind and severely visually impaired people to move freely and without obstruction in society.

The federation supports members in making the most of their guide dogs in everyday life. Its services include courses and individual follow-up, while its local clubs also provide opportunities for activities and gatherings. Membership in Studieforbundet Funkis enables the organisation to apply for support for courses and meetings arranged both nationally and by its clubs.

In addition to practical member support, Norges Førerhundforbund undertakes advocacy and public engagement to highlight the experiences and challenges guide dog users face. Its work includes sharing news and information, connecting with other organisations, and contributing to discussion about accessibility and inclusion.
