About Norsaac
Norsaac Movement for Active Citizenship is a leading organization in Ghana dedicated to championing social change and improving the quality of life for empowered women, youth, and marginalized groups. Since its establishment in 2002, Norsaac has been working closely with government and non-government stakeholders to influence policy change in favor of those negatively affected. Their focus areas include better educational outcomes, improving economic opportunities, improving healthcare delivery, peace, and stable communities, and social protection.
Norsaac empowers individuals by working closely with communities, community structures, and target groups. They provide quality services, alter community norms, beliefs, and practices towards gender transformative societies, and influence decision-makers in homes, communities, and formal structures for gender-responsive systems.
Their mission is to work with networks of women, youth, children, excluded groups, and like-minded organizations to strengthen their agency and exercise their rights. Their vision is to create a healthy and empowered society where everyone enjoys their rights and lives a life of dignity.
Norsaac's core values include justice, commitment, responsiveness, inclusion, mutual respect, and partnership. They believe in challenging power imbalances, championing collective power, valuing diversity, and promoting equality.
