The Northam Care Trust, formerly known as Northam Lodge, is a charitable organization dedicated to providing support for individuals with learning and physical disabilities. Established in 1978, our primary mission is to empower these individuals, enabling them to make choices and have control over their lives, resulting in the highest possible quality of life. Located in North Devon, we have developed a person-centered approach to support individuals with profound and multiple disabilities, autism, other learning disabilities, dementia, and mental health problems.

Our comprehensive range of services includes Residential Lodges, day opportunities, community support, Supported Living schemes, Enabling services, and Domiciliary Care services. At The Northam Care Trust, we prioritize excellent communication, respect, dignity, and engagement. We also value and support carers.

Our work is underpinned by a set of values and behaviors that promote personalization, ensuring that each individual receives tailored and specialist care. As the sole organization in North Devon and North Cornwall offering high care support for individuals with profound disabilities and complex health needs, we also provide access to specialist health and therapeutic services. We have incorporated innovative technologies, such as 'Eye Gaze,' to facilitate effective communication between individuals and our dedicated and well-trained staff.
