Northbrook Garden Club

Northbrook Garden Club is a community of gardening enthusiasts in Northbrook, Illinois, offering opportunities to learn, share knowledge, and enjoy gardening together. Its programs welcome everyone, from beginners and hobbyists to experienced and Master Gardeners. The club hosts educational events and monthly speaker sessions, generally in person, where members and local residents can learn, meet, and socialize.

A central feature of the club’s calendar is its annual May plant sale, offering nursery-grown native plants alongside selected native and cultivated plants shared from members’ gardens. The sale also includes perennials, vegetables, and other plants. The club’s projects include promoting sustainable gardening and protecting native plants, trees, insects, and birds. Members also help maintain the Northbrook Blue Star Memorial garden and take part in a youth program that grows native plants from seed for pollinators. The club supports environmental scholarships for graduating Glenbrook North High School seniors and participates in Garden Clubs of America and Garden Clubs of Illinois. Annual dues are $25 for an individual or $35 for a household.
