North County Fire Authority

North County Fire Authority (NCFA) is the public fire authority serving communities in North County, California. Led by Fire Chief Ron D. Myers, the organization works to protect residents and support community safety through emergency coordination, fire safety information, and preparedness education. Its PREPARE campaign helps residents, families, and businesses build the knowledge and tools needed to respond when emergencies occur, reflecting NCFA’s mission: “Be Kind. Always Prepared. Care for Others.”

NCFA provides resources on preparing for unpredictable events, including fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other threats to children, families, homes, and outdoor areas. Its website also offers community resources, emergency alert information through Genasys Protect (Zone Haven) and SMC Alert, and a free emergency preparedness calendar. Residents can find details about station tours, classroom visits, inspections, fees, and emergency preparedness meeting videos. The authority also shares news, public updates, reports, and statistics, and provides information about its bureaus, divisions, careers, and organization. Community members can contact NCFA by phone, email, or at its Brisbane office.
