North East Care Services

North East Care Services is a York-based care provider focused on supporting young people as they move from foster or residential care towards semi-independent living. The organisation aims to create a warm, safe and nurturing environment, with support tailored to each young person’s needs as they build skills for greater independence and adulthood. Its services include supported accommodation, short breaks, outreach and 24/7 emergency care, alongside access to support at all times. North East Care Services works in partnership with local authorities and describes itself as part of the community.

The organisation’s approach is guided by the CALM ethos: Communication, Awareness, Listening and Motivation. Its support encourages young people to maintain family links, develop independence, and benefit from high-quality care, guidance and positive experiences. This can include encouraging hobbies and activities, helping young people develop strategies for coping with past experiences, and supporting them to manage emotions and behaviour independently. Through stability and structure, North East Care Services seeks to help young people realise their potential and prepare for adulthood.
