Northeast Creek Streamwatch is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Northeast Creek and its surrounding watershed. Its website brings together information about local wildlife, plants, waterways, geology, and history, helping residents explore and better understand the area. Visitors can learn about mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and aquatic macroinvertebrates, as well as the region’s prehistory, settlement, soils, and Triassic Basin geology.

The organization supports public involvement through education, stream monitoring, cleanups, conservation, and advocacy. Its site shares updates on development proposals, land-use decisions, planning hearings, and other issues that may affect local habitats and communities. It also offers virtual tours of the watershed, including routes from the source to the mouth and tours of individual tributaries, along with photographs, event notices, and research on cultural heritage. By connecting practical environmental action with accessible local knowledge, Northeast Creek Streamwatch encourages people to learn about the watershed and take part in protecting its ecological and historical resources.
