Northern Horse Dentistry provides mobile equine dental care for horse owners, riders and stables across Yorkshire and Lancashire. Founded in 2010 by Charlotte, the business brings qualified, gentle dental treatment directly to horses at their yards, helping reduce the stress of travel and make routine care convenient. Charlotte developed her expertise through study at Liverpool Vet School, earning a BSc in Animal Science, followed by an apprenticeship in equine dentistry.
Services include dental examinations and treatments such as rasping, also known as floating, to address sharp edges and uneven tooth surfaces. The business can also provide wolf tooth removal when appropriate. Its care is intended to support comfortable chewing, oral health and performance, whether a horse needs a routine check-up or has signs of dental discomfort. Northern Horse Dentistry recommends that most horses receive a dental check every six to twelve months. Owners can also find information about equine mouths, warning signs and dental care through the business.
