In 1987, Peggy Cambridge took over the business, renaming it Peggy's Patch and expanding into designing and sewing skating dresses.

Cathy Minnetyan became the owner in 1994, rebranding the store as Cathy's Patch and introducing dance apparel and footwear to meet the growing demand. In 2005, Cassie Laurence acquired the business and relocated it to Potsdam. Eventually, it became Northern Ice and Dance, specializing in figure skating, dance, and gymnastics products.
