Northern Lights. mn presents Northern Spark, an annual late-night art festival that illuminates the Twin Cities. This year's festival, themed What the World Needs Now, will take place on June 11, 2022, from 9 pm to 2 am along University Avenue and downtown St.
Paul, MN. Afterward, a Closing Event will be held from 2 am to 5:30 am on Raspberry Island, next to the Mississippi River. Celebrating the beauty and vibrancy of the Rondo, Frogtown, and Little Mekong neighborhoods, as well as the Mississippi River, Northern Spark showcases various art forms, including performance, hands-on art-making, sound and sculpture installations, all designed to respond to the festival's theme.
Partnering with organizations such as Victoria Theater Arts Center, Springboard for the Arts, Rondo Community Library, and the Minnesota Museum of American Art, Northern Spark creates transformative art experiences. In 2022, the festival returns to its original format of a one-night, dusk-to-dawn event, allowing attendees to witness the sunrise together after a night of awe-inspiring art encounters.
